We are pleased to advertise this exciting new role that will focus on making a difference for young people in the Tewkesbury Borough.

Tewkesbury Borough is a growing population, with an increasing number of young people. For the first time, young people are a focus within the council plan, recognising the value young people make in our communities. This key role will be out in the community, meeting and working in partnership with other organisations and working with young people.

We are looking for someone to engage with and inspire young people in Tewkesbury Borough, focussing on:

  • working in partnership to shape council services via meaningful engagement with young people.
  • working with young people to identify the issues important to them and their communities
  • ensuring young people’s voice is heard within the council
  • developing an action plan for developing young people’s engagement and participation

You will be part of the Community and Economic Development Team. As well as working alongside a supportive team, you will also work on your own initiative. You will need to be enthusiastic, dynamic and have a passion for young people. You will have experience of engaging with young people and enabling young people to make a positive contribution to their community.

For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Andy Sanders, Head of Community and Economic Development on 01684 272094.
