Do you want to work at the heart of local decision-making? We are seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our small but friendly Democratic Services Team.
You will provide support, guidance and advice to the Council, its various Committees and other decision-making bodies. You should have experience of Committee administration, including the production and publication of agenda and reports and the preparation of minutes. Knowledge of the modern.gov committee management and Public-i webcasting systems is desirable.
We are seeking individuals who are proactive and self-motivated with strong communication skills, as this role involves working with councillors and officers from across the organisation, including senior officers. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work to deadlines and manage a varied workload. Attendance at meetings outside of normal working hours will be necessary and you will be required to support the Elections team during busy periods.
If you are an individual committed to excellence in your work with a passion for local government and want to be part of a Council with an ambition to be a High Performing Organisation (HPO), then we would like to hear from you.
For an informal discussion about this exciting and fulfilling opportunity please contact Jennifer Murray, Head of Democratic and Electoral Services on 01684 272044 (Mon-Thurs).
