Community Funding Officer (17 hours / job share)

Do you want to make a real difference? We are recruiting a new part-time Community Funding Officer to support our communities to access funding, particularly supporting our communities most in need. This 17 hour role will be a job share, working alongside our other newly appointed Community Funding Officer.

Working predominantly with the Voluntary and Community Sector, you will help groups navigate through the funding process, source funding for the council, as well as co-ordinate council funding schemes and much of our highly valued cost of living work. Although you will share responsibilities with our other Community Funding Officer, you will particularly focus on cost of living initiatives including Warm Spaces, working with our Financial Inclusion Partners and the Household Support Fund.

Working in Tewkesbury Borough is very varied and never dull! There is a wealth of community groups doing fantastic work, who just need a bit of extra support to help them thrive and meet the needs of residents.  The role is greatly rewarding, allowing you to see the impact on communities and the lives of residents. The role will sit within the Community and Economic Development team, with supportive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. The role will be partly based at home, in the office and out within the community.

If you’re not familiar with the area, the district has a mix of stunning natural environment, medieval and Cotswold locations – as well as lots of things to do and enjoy.

For an informal discussion about this exciting and fulfilling opportunity, please contact Andy Sanders, Head of Community and Economic Development on 01684 272094.

Closing Date: Monday 05 August 2024

Proposed Interview Date: Monday, 19 August 2024
