About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Services Officer to join the waste team. This is great opportunity for candidates looking to progress a career within a fast paced and challenging service area, one which touches the lives of all citizens living in, working in and visiting Tewkesbury Borough.
 
In this role you will:
  • Ensure that street cleansing and grounds maintenance services are delivered in a safe, legal and cost effective manner.
  • Support the Head of Service for waste, street cleansing and grounds maintenance, to meet corporate and departmental aims and objectives and monitor street cleansing, grounds maintenance.
  • Support other related front line contracts as appropriate, to deliver environmentally beneficial and safe services.
 
To be successful in this role, you need to be highly organised, have good IT skills, an eye for detail and be happy working both independently and within a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role as you will be liaising with various stakeholders and employees both within and outside the council. Experience of street cleansing and grounds maintenance in a similar role for either a contractor or council will be highly desirable.
