About The Role

Looking to build a meaningful career where your work really matters? At Tewkesbury Borough Council, we are proud of our people-first approach, and are looking for a People and Culture Assistant to help us deliver and redesign the service within our dynamic People and Culture team.

This is an exciting time to join us as we move towards local government reorganisation. You will be part of a team helping to shape the future of local government and influence how we support our people through change. If you are looking for a role where you can grow, contribute, and be part of something meaningful, this is it.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will be at the heart of our People and Culture operations, supporting recruitment, onboarding, training co-ordination and maintaining employee records. You will also help manage our HRIS systems, assist with budget monitoring, and play a key role in delivering a positive employee experience.

We are looking for someone who is organised, digitally confident, can manage conflicting responsibilities and thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you have a strong customer-focus, and are happy to use your own initiative with an innovative mindset we would love to hear from you.

What you will bring
- Experience of working within an human resources environment
- Excellent communication, time management and digital skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and inclusivity
- Excellent attention to detail
